PEDIASURE® BABY CITY COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS

SECTION 1: COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. This Pediasure Baby City Prize Draw (“Competition”) is operated by by Abbott Laboratories  South Africa (Pty) Ltd (hereinafter “Abbott” or “we” or “us” as the context may require).
2. These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the operation of the Competition and the participants’ (hereinafter “Participants” or “you” as the context may require) participation in the Competition.
3. Only permanent residents and citizens of South Africa who are at least 18 (eighteen) years of age and who are in possession of a valid South African identity book shall be eligible to participate in this Competition. Employees of Baby City or Abbott or any Abbott distributor/wholesaler are not be permitted to participate in this Competition.
4. By participating in the Competition, Participants agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).
5. Abbott reserves the right to, at any time, suspend or terminate the Competition without any liability to any Participant(s).
6. To enter this Competition, participants are required to:
   1. Purchase one tin of  any PediaSure^® product (e.g.  PediaSure^® Chocoloate 850g or PediaSure^® Vanilla 850g); and
      Step 1: Go online and visit babycity.co.za and  follow the PediaSure^® pop-up; and
      Step 2: Enter their details including name, surname and contact and till-slip number
   2. The details in Step 2 above shall constitute one entry (“Entry”).Participants may  enter more than once and  create multiple Entries.
7. Abbott reserves the right to, at any time, to unilaterally void a Participant’s Entry  as a result of a Participant’s breach of these Terms.
8. The Competition shall commence on 1^st November 2019 and will close at midnight on the 31^st of December 2019 (the “Closing Date”). Any Entry created after the Closing Date will be deemed null and void. Abbott shall not be liable to Participants as a result of Entries failing to be created (e.g. due to a system error) or being created after the  Closing Date due to any reason.
9. PRIZES
   1. Each winner will receive 1 (one) Baby City voucher to the value of R5000 (five thousand rands) per voucher (hereinafter “Prize”)
   2. Regardless as to the number of Entries created by a Participant, a Participant will only be entitled to 1 (one) Prize, in the entire Competition, should they be drawn as the winner.
   3. There will be a total of 33 (thirty three) Prizes available to win, 1 (one) prize per Baby City store.
   4. The Prize does not cover any other costs incurred by the winner whatsoever (such as travelling costs to redeem the voucher).
   5. The Prize is not exchangeable for cash and is not  transferable or negotiable.
10. COMPETITION DRAW
    1. Winning Entries will be drawn by a random system-generated draw and the draw will be overseen by an independent person as required under the Consumer Protection Act.
    2. Winners will be notified telephonically via that contact number entered on their receipt.
    3. Abbott  shall make 3 (three) attempts over 2 (two) working days to contact and notify  selected winners. If the selected winner cannot be contacted after these 3 (three) attempts, then the winner will be deemed to have forfeited their prize and a replacement winner will be selected from the names drawn from the remaining qualifying Participants. This process shall continue until the winner has been successfully contacted as per these Terms.
    4. In the event that a winner is subsequently found to be ineligible, under these Terms, for receiving their Prize or is unable to, or fails to, accept their  Prize for any reason, a replacement winner will be selected from the names drawn from remaining qualifying Participants in accordance with the same process as applicable to the original draw.
    5. Initial attemps to notify winners will be made by no later than the 17^th January 2019.
11. WINNERS
    1. Winners will need to provide valid and legible  identification toAbbott , including a valid South African Identity number, in order to receive their Prize.
    2. Abbott may, upon receiving the prior written consent of any winner, publish such  winner’s name, surname and images, including photographs, on, inter alia, Abbott’s  Facebook page without any liability to Abbott  or any remuneration being  due to the winner.
    3. The Competition, its Prizes, and these Terms may be amended by Abbott by way of written notifications placed at the cash counters of each Baby City store.  Each notification shall state the effective date of the amendment. Participants shall not have any recourse against Abbott as a result of any such amendment.
    4. Abbott  reserves the right to extend, reasonably shorten or suspend the time period of the Competition whenever it should so choose for technical, commercial, or operation reasons, or for the greater public good, or due to a “force majeure” or generally for any reason whatsoever within its sole discretion, on condition that it notifies the participants in that manner as provided for at clause 11.4 above.
    5. Abbott  reserves the right to terminate this Competition immediately at any stage, without liability to any Participant, as may be required due to changes in legislation, or if required by any national, provincial or municipal authority.  , Notice of such termination shall be published on the Competition website and/or in that manner as provided for at clause 11.4 above.
    6. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South African and the courts of South Africa shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of the operation of this Competition/these Terms..
12. PRIVACY POLICY
    1. Abbott treats all information collected as confidential. Abbott’s privacy policy outlines how Abbott  collects this information and uses it throughout your interactions with Abbott.
    2. Information is collected by specifically requesting it from you, this occurs when you enter the Competition.
